This website can help you finding your notebook, PDA or mobile phone in case it has been lost or stolen.

Certainly you know already somebody whoose notbook got lost. Besides loosing a lot of money, your personal data is lost, and you need to go to the lengthy procedure of installing your applications again.

But there is a siginificant chance to get it back. Maybe the "e;finder"e; doesn't format the harddrive immediately, and checks what on your disk. Why not letting your notebook call home, once it is switched on?

How does it work

You can create a link using the form below, which you can use in your web browsers start homepage. Once the browser is opened it connects to this link, and relieves the internet address, from which this browser has been opened. Immediately afterwards, your normal homepage will be loaded.

The IP from which your notebook has been used will be stored for two weeks on our server.

Once your noteboot or PDA is lost, you can request a track record from us, that can be used by the police to get finders idendity from his internet service provider.

What does it cost?

Tracking your notebook is free. Requests if tracking information is available, will also be processed for free. Only retrieving your full track report will be charged with 20,- EUR.

What to do if my notebook is lost now?

Send an email to support@tracker.jiphe.de, to ask if tracking information is available for your notebook. Please tell us, the keyword you have used. If you have forgotten it, please try to describe it. Please send us also a prove of your idendity like your phone number or ID card copy.

Once we are informed, we prevent your track record from being deleted. When we have received a service charge of 20,- EUR, you will be sent a full report.

Privacy

We ensure you, that no other information as the Internet address (IP) and the time is recorded. Furthermore we will not use your record, for comercial purposes, except this tracking.

Create a Browser-Tracker Link

Here you can create a link, to make it the default page of your browser. It consists of two parts.

The first part is a keyword that will be used as if you want to receive your login information. It should be unique and not easy to guess. If someone else knows these word or sentence and want's to get the account information, he get's also your info.
On the other hand, the information someone else can get, is the internet address and the time of your last internet connections. Nothing very private in the internet. So if you don't care about this kind of privacy, you can also choose your eMail address as keyword.

The second part is optional. If you like to keep your previous default homepage, you can enter it here. After pinging our server, you will be redirected to this page. It also prevents a thieve of your notebook to realize easily that his connections are tracked.
